Trans/nonbinary people are disproportionately victims of crime. Any crime may have an element of anti-trans hate as part of the crime or as a motivating factor. Additionally, all trans/nonbinary survivors of crime(s) may face barriers related to lack of services, misgendering, and poor interactions with law enforcement.
